Welcome to Sue Coffee's Annalee Patriotic Doll collection
Patriotic Patriotic Annalee Dolls were produced in numerous styles from 1960’s to current day. The collection includes Patriotic Bunnies, Mice, Donkeys, Elephants, Frogs, Ducks, Eagles, Kids, Drummer Boys, Elves, Yankee Doodles, Uncle Sams, Clowns, Dogs, Cats, Picks, Pins, Ornaments and the Statue of Liberty. Annalee Patriotic Dolls range in size from 3” to 30”. An interesting fact I’d like to mention is that Annalee introduced the Democratic Donkeys and Republican Elephants in 1968, then 1972 and 1976 election and were not seen again until I did my Sue Coffee Annalee Exclusives in 2003. In the year 2000, I worked with Annalee Dolls Inc. and their design team to create my own Annalee Patriotic Dolls collection. This collection is called the Sue Coffee Exclusives. I started out with an Annalee Patriotic Girl because I have a daughter and my family and friends helped me come up with her design. She sold out in 10 days so I immediately designed another Patriotic Girl with a nautical theme. The girls looked lonesome so I created a Annalee Patriotic Boy with a removable firecracker. Then in 2001, I decided to go with a clown to put a little humor into my collection.
In 2002 I came up with an Uncle Sam doll with a matching pin and ornament. When I made the prototype for my Uncle Sam to send to Annalee, I took the head off an Abe Lincoln and used an Uncle Sam body from 1976. So my Uncle Sam has the Abe Lincoln artwork.
Of all “my kids” as I call them, my Statue of Liberty caused me the most stress. There were seven different Annalee designers that worked on her. Each one took a different part -the crown, hair, outfit, tablet, torch, base and face. I chose the artwork from Mary in the 1996 Nativity. One of the designers that created the tablet told me she had to hand cut all those Roman numerals with an X-acto knife. What a job it was! The last of my Patriotic Exclusives were done in 2003. They were the Patriotic Donkey and Elephant with matching Pins and Ornaments. I figured I’d make the Democrats and Republicans happy. I designed all my dolls so the bases can be removed for decorating purposes. This way they can ride the donkey, elephant, sit on a park bench, ride a bike or do whatever you like. Sue Coffee Exclusives Annalee 7" Patriotic Girl #1
This is the first Limited Edition doll that was created by Annalee Dolls exclusively for Sue Coffee and was made in Meredith, NH USA. She is 7" tall and sports a red and white striped dress. She wears a white hat that is trimmed with a red, white and blue ribbon. She came with various facial expressions, all with eyes open. Included with the doll is a 10" freestanding flag with a removable base, which allows you to pose her pledging allegiance or saluting the flag. If you feel it's time for her to be carrying the flag, just remove the base and place it in her hand.
Sue Coffee Exclusives Annalee 7" Patriotic Girl #2
The Patriotic Girl #2 was created by Annalee Dolls exclusively for Sue Coffee with a nautical theme and was made in Meredith, NH USA. The Patriotic Girl #2 is 7" tall and sports a red and white striped A-line dress with a royal blue middy collar and shoes. She has blonde hair and wears a white sailor hat that is trimmed with a royal blue A. She comes with a 10" freestanding flag with a removable wooden base, which allows you to pose her pledging allegiance or saluting the flag. Made in Meredith, NH USA.
The Patriotic Boy was created by Annalee Dolls exclusively for Sue Coffee and was made in Meredith, NH USA. The Annalee Patriotic Boy matches both the Patriotic Girl #1 and #2. He wears a royal blue jacket and shoes, red and white striped pants and sports an Uncle Sam stovepipe hat. He holds a removable firecracker. Try taking the firecracker out of his hand and have him saluting or pledging allegiance to the flag. The doll comes with 3 different facial expresssions item numbers. The Patriotic Clown was created by Annalee Dolls exclusively for Sue Coffee and was made in Meredith, NH USA. After designing 2 girls and a boy Sue decided to add a little humor and wimsey to the line with a clown! The Annalee Patriotic Clown was manufactured with 4 facial expressions includomg winking which is hard to find. He comes with a white sparkle outfit with blue stars with red streamers, Uncle Sam style matching hat with blue brim, blue removable felt base. Sue Coffee Annalee Exclusive.
The Patriotic Uncle Sam Doll was created by Annalee Dolls exclusively for Sue Coffee. Open eyes, closed mouth smile. Red/white/blue hat, white hair, white goatee, royal blue jacket with gold buttons, white shirt, white cummerbund, red bow tie, white gloves, red and white striped pants, black shoes, removable blue felt base. The Patriotic Statue of Liberty Doll was created by Annalee Dolls exclusively for Sue Coffee. This doll is the first of its kind ever produced by Annalee with her verdigris colored fabric gown draped in layers, resin crown, torch, tablet and base. Removable red/white/blue USA sash. Packaged in a styrofoam insert. Very impressive piece.
The Annalee Democratic Donkey was created by Annalee Dolls Inc. exclusively for Sue Coffee. grey body with grey mane and tail, wears Uncle Sam hat, blue saddle with red and white stripe blanket with three white stars. The Donkey comes with open eyes - as shown. The item numbers of the different donkeys are 981703, 984400, 984601, 982302, and 981503.
The Annalee Republican Elephant was created by Annalee Dolls Inc. exclusively for Sue Coffee. Grey hair, grey body, Uncle Sam hat, blue saddle, red/white stripe blanket with three white stars on each side. The Elephant comes with open eyes - as shown. The Annalee Uncle Sam Hat was created by Annalee Dolls Inc. exclusively for Sue Coffee. Uncle Sam hat, red and white vertical stripes on top of hat, white star around the bottom, royal blue brim. Can be used as a pin or an ornament. Perfect for making any Annalee doll into a Patriotic one.
The Annalee Statue of Liberty Ornament was created by Annalee Dolls Inc. exclusively for Sue Coffee. The Ornament was designed in with one face - as shown, verdigris colored resin crown and lighter color felt face.
