Annalee Doll Description: Last one. Annalee Thorndike completed "A World of Love" in the Fall of 2001 after retiring from the doll company she founded. Designed as a thank you gift to her loyal collectors, it was scheduled to be unveiled at the Annalee Social in June 2002. She did not live to present her final creation. Annalee passed away on April 7th, 2002, two months before the presentation. Dome included. Brass plaque is numbered #570 and signed by Annalee. This is probably one of the last pieces Annalee signed before her death. This has the original base. It has a split across the top just under the grey mouse and another on the bottom part of the base on the left side below the dark haired girl in green. Annalee company had troubles with the bases spiltting so they replaced them for the customers that mailed them back. Otherwise doll is mint.

She is adorned with strands of beads, a tremendous headdress and staff accented with feather boa, and a glittery mask. Her bloomers are made of a deep purple cotton print. She wears green felt shoes with glittery purple accents and is playfully positioned on a bright green felt base. Annalee named her as 9" but from base to top head dress is 12". Revel in the magic of Mardi Gras with this amazing design with abundant details perfect for the culmination of Carnival! Comes with Assembled in America numbered tag - #19, dated and the first name of the designer that assembled the doll. Hand assembled in Annalee headquarters in Meredith, NH.
